Itinerary in Guatemala: the markets of Chichicastenango y Sololá, Lake Atitlán, the colonial city of Antigua, the archeological site of Tikal.
In Yucatan, visit the archeological sites of Bonampak, Palenque, Uxmal, Chichen Itza, Coba and Tulum, the colonial cities of Campeche, Merida, and Izamal and the Playa del Carmen's beach.

Saturday |
Arrival
Reception at the airport. Overnight in Guatemala city. |
Day 2
Sunday |
Chichicastenango
Departure to Chichicastenango. We visit one of the most beautiful Indian markets in Guatemala with its multi-colored Mayan textiles, flowers and fruits.In the afternoon, departure to Panajachel (Lake Atitlán).

Day 3
Monday | Lake Atitlán
We reach by boat Santiago Atitlán, a village rich in handicraft and traditional fabrics. In the afternoon, we visit the villages of Santa Catarina and San Antonio. Overnight in Panajachel.

Day 4
Tuesday | Sololá
Visit of the market of Sololá. Because of the geographical position of this village, located between the highlands and the coastal plain, one can see, on market days, a remarkable convergence of different populations. In the afternoon, departure to Antigua. Spend the night in Antigua. |
Day 5
Wednesday | Antigua
A visit to this splendid colonial jewel, former capital of Guatemala during the Spanish era. In this once-flourishing capital, although victim of devastating earthquakes, one can feel the ambiance of its colonial architecture. Side-streets are enlivened by the interaction of Indians, "Ladinos" and tourists. |
Day 6
Thursday | Tikal
Early in the morning, travel to the Guatemala City airport. Flight to Flores and travel by bus to the archeological site of Tikal. Visit this incredible ceremonial center located in the heart of the tropical forest. Of all the Mayan sites, Tikal is certainly the one that most impresses its visitors: the verticality of its structures, the peaks of which emerge through the crown of the jungle. Spend the night in a lodge, on the site of Tikal. |
Day 7
Friday | Bonampak
Departure to Bethel (Mexican border). Crossing the river Usumacinta. Visit of the archeological site of Bonampak, home of famous Mayan murals. Their ancient colors remain clear and vital, making them an excellent representation of Mayan art. Bonampak also has some very well preserved stele that detail important historical moments. Then,travel to Palenque. Overnight in the village.

Day 8
Saturday | Palenque - Campeche
We visit the archeological site of Palenque. Ancient structures rise out of the lush rainforest on multiple terraces set against the mountains. There are many major buildings to explore and new buildings are now being uncovered and studied. Many wonderful examples of Maya art and history are carved into the building´s facades, some of them the most famous depictions from the ancient Maya world. In the afternoon, departure to Campeche. Overnight in the city. |
Day 9
Sunday | Campeche – Uxmal
Visit of the colonial city of Campeche. Departure to Uxmal. Visit of the archeological site. Uxmal is considered as one of the most splendid archaeological site from the Pre Hispanic era on the American Continent because of the proportions of its majestic constructions decorated with delicate embossment, which are carved with incredible elegance and precision. Overnight in Uxmal.

Day 10
Monday | Mérida
In the morning, departure to Mérida. We visit the colonial city. Merida is known as the White City, nowadays one of the most tranquil cities in Mexico. Her remote Mayan roots, superb colonial monuments and the splendor of her turn to the XIX century architecture, has made Merida a captivating mixture of cultural influences. Overnight in Mérida.

Tuesday |
Chichen Itza
Early the morning, departure for Chichen Itza. Before arriving, we visit the colonial convent of San Antonio de Padua (in the town of Izamal).
Then, we visit the site of Chichen Itza, an ancient and marvellous archaeological zone, one of the most important ancient cities of Mayan Culture. As a religious, political and commercial metropolis Chichen Itza has the most amazing buildings as an example of architecture and art of Mayan society. Overnight in Chichen Itza.

Wednesday | Coba - Tulum
Visit of the archeological sites of Coba and Tulum (closed to a very beautiful white sand beach). Departure to Playa del Carmen. Overnight in Playa del Carmen.

Thursday | Playa del Carmen
Relax in Playa del Carmen. Overnight in Playa del Carmen. |
Day 14
Friday | Flight back
Travel to the international airport for the return flight.

Departure to Copán.The southernmost major center of lowland Maya civilization and is famed for its artistic sculpture. Overnight in the village. |

Friday |
Quirigua and Livingston
Travel to Puerto Barrios. In route, visit the archeological site of Quirigua, whose steles are the tallest of the Mayan world. From Puerto Barrios, travel by boat to Lívingston, a Caribbean village. |
Day 8
Saturday |
Río Dulce
From Lívingston, by boat on the Río Dulce, we will enjoy tropical fauna and flora until reaching the castle of Castillo San Felipe. Then, bus to Tikal. Overnight in Tikal. |
Day 9
Sunday |
Tikal
