14 days / 13 nights trip
2 days of hiking , the active volcano Pacaya , 1 day mountain bike tour , « canopy tour », jungle , rafting and kayaking .

In Guatemala :
Visit Antigua . Observe the active volcano Pacaya . Discover Lake Atitlán "off the beaten path". Visit the most famous Indigenous market in Central America : Chichicastenango . Discover Tikal 's archeological site. Experience a “ canopy tour” in the jungle. By boat on the Río Dulce , enjoy tropical fauna and flora until reaching Lívingston .
In Honduras :
In the Caribbean, experience rafting on the rio Cangrejal and canoe through the mangrove … without missing Copan 's archeological site.

Day 1
Saturday |
Arrival.
Reception at the airport. Spend the night in Antigua. |
Day 2
Sunday |
Antigua.
Discover Antigua, the splendid country´s colonial jewel. Overnight in Antigua. |
Day 3
Monday |
Pacaya volcano.
Departure in the early morning to the village of San Francisco De Sales and the Pacaya volcano. After a short one hour ascent, depending on the activity of this "strombolian" volcano, we observe eruptions or approach Pacaya's main crater. In the afternoon, departure to Panajachel (Lake Atitlán). |
Day 4
Tuesday |
Trek Santa Cruz - San Juan.
By boat we reach Santa Cruz La Laguna. Then, we circle the lake by small trails, passing through the villages of Jaibalito, Tzununá, San Marcos and San Pablo. During the hike, we see the daily life of the Cakchiquel and Tzutuhil Indians. Spend the night in San Juan. |
Day 5
Wednesday |
Santiago Atitlán.
We reach by boat Santiago Atitlán, a village rich in handicraft and traditional fabrics. There, we witness the ceremony of those who revere Maximón, a contemporary Mayan god. We cross Lake Atitlán to Panajachel and leave for Chichicastenango. Overnight in the village.

Day 6
Thursday |
Chichicastenango's market.
We visit one of the most beautiful Indian markets in Guatemala with its multi-colored Mayan textiles, flowers and fruits. In the afternoon, departure to Antigua. |
Day 7
Friday |
Mountain bike.
A one day’s mountain bike tour to discover Antigua’s surroundings!
(difficulty level according to your wishes). Overnight in Antigua.

Day 8
Saturday |
Tikal.
Early in the morning, we fly to Flores and reach Tikal. Deep within the jungle, this immense Mayan metropolis holds the mysteries of a fascinating civilization. Overnight in Tikal!

Day 9
Sunday |
Canopy tour.
Enjoy a one kilometer stroll in the air and observe birds, monkeys or other animals from the canopy of the jungle ! In the afternoon, departure to Río Dulce. |
Day 10
Monday |
Río Dulce.
By boat on the Río Dulce, we will enjoy tropical fauna until reaching Lívingston, a Caribbean village and begin our trip through the Garifunas’ coast. Native ethnic inhabitants, come from the fusion of African slaves, Caribe Indians and Arawak Indians. Then, by boat, we reach Puerto Barrios and leave for Tela (Honduras).

Day 11
Tuesday |
Rafting.
Adrenalin on the Rio Cangrejal ! Overnight in Tela, in front of the Caribbean.

Day 12
Wednesday |
Kayak / canoe.
Discover mangrove forest by kayak / canoe. In the afternoon, departure to Copán. Overnight in the village.

Day 13
Thursday |
Copán.
Visit of the archeological site and its museum. In the afternoon, departure to Guatemala City.
|
Day 14
Friday |
Flight back.
|

In D11 and D12, you can choose softer activities such as:
- D11: Excusion to Punta Sal National Park. You will sail to several beaches.
- D12: Excursion to Laguna de Los Micos National Park. You will explore the mangrove forest by motorized boat.
